I Cry For You

I am my fathers daughter

as I walk I see your pain

Break my heart, I will cry for you

for I cannot touch that which is meant to be hidden

You nurture it slowly

the slow burning within

to purge it you must let it out

yet your tears are held in a jar

on a shelf

up high

and even when you desperately want to

you cannot cry

I am my fathers daughter

I can see your pain

and I cry for you

I cry

  1. Honey, this is... you know me so well. Muwah!

Loneliness is present, but you're presence fills the void.

I realize I am connecting this on a personal level. But, I cannot help it.

I am reaching for that jar, I am breaking it, I have you now, I have your shoulders now, to cry on. Muwah!

This is a beautiful piece. And, I can so relate to the lead here. It is hard to cry sometimes as it depends on what one has gone through in the past. I don't want to call it strength alone, but it is the detachment from sentiments that one develops as a reaction.

    Keep on writing! Muwah!

  2. As I read this, you're reminding me, or rather forcing me to correlate this genuinely nice piece to Ajey's "Cry".

I have always been a fan of unspoken words conveying love. It is not just gestures that can replace words, most of the time emotional reactions (which are arguably gestures) can convey so much depth of love.

Also, if I don't think of this "Aroha", even in a general aspect, affection towards mankind is felt in this poem.

I like the volunteering gesture of feeling someone's pain and helping them out. Coming to think that Christmas is fast approaching, this poem conveys the niceness in people.

Hmm, I love Ajey's preference to think that this is about you both.

By the way, I must write I love your name, both the blogger name and YOUR name.

    Hugs and Kisses,

  3. Darling, I knew you would get this, Muwah!

Jennifer, you are such a caring person as well, I believe that you feel for others in the manner that I tried to convey here. I recall that you shed tears from the beginning when you started to read the songs from our Album "Fallen in Aroha" I thought that was very sweet. Thank you for your friendship... :)

p.s. I am rather fond of my name and the name Strawberry Girl as well, I put a lot of thought into the name Strawberry Girl... well I'm an old fan of Strawberry Shortcake, the doll and the desert ;)

  4. Beautiful piece, SG! The rememberance and knowing of you both. I immediately remembered the picture on this blog of you and your dad. It's precious.

(So are the two A's now out and open in love? I love that I held the secrecy of love so close. All the very best!)

  5. WOW I am at a loss for words on this one,. this touched my heart deeply,. I saw this i felt this, i have lived this, WOW.. Amazing
